Yesterday the first match play-offs were played by the U18 teams at the European Championship.
In the quarter-finals of Division II, the men’s team met Portugal and were beaten 1.5:3.5. The winning point was scored by Hart Oskar Aoveer, who beat his opponent 3&1. Robin Udodov scored the draw point. Results
The women’s team met Turkey at the same time and had to accept defeat by the same score as the boys. Kirke Kiige scored the winning point on the last hole and Kristella Sikk won the tie with a five-metre birdie putt on the last hole. Results
The young men will today face Slovenia, who went down to Belgium, in the 5th-8th place semi-final. The women’s team play their last match today against Iceland.
