Tallink became the main partner of the Estonian Golf Association
The Estonian Golf Association and Tallink Grupp signed a three-year cooperation agreement, whereby Tallink becomes the main partner of the Estonian Golf Association. In addition to the title of the main partner, Tallink will also be the title sponsor of the Estonian Amateur Open competition in the coming years.
According to Erki Mölder, President of the Estonian Golf Association, he is pleased that the long-term cooperation agreement with Tallink, one of Estonia’s largest companies and a long-standing supporter of sport and culture in Estonia and our neighbor countries, was reached. “With the support of Tallink, we will be able to vigorously develop this fairly young sport in Estonia over the next three years, which will grow significantly every year from the number of enthusiasts and whose top players are gaining better positions in the world charts. An important part of the sponsorship funds are investing in the growth of the growth. ”
Margus Hunt, Sales and Marketing Director of Tallink Group, said at the signing of the agreement: “During our 30-year history, we have invested heavily in various areas that help our society more broadly and, for example, more sports, to advance and reach our world athletes. Throughout the years, Tallink has had good cooperation with various golf courses in Estonia, and we have also contributed to the development of golf tourism in many ways. We would now like to bring this cooperation to a new level to help the Estonian Golf Association bring new enthusiasts to our golf courses and at the same time to support the peaks in their quest for the best of the golf world. In our opinion, golf also expresses Tallink’s values of dedication, professionalism, cooperation and joy. ”
“You have to agree with the previous speaker. When talking about Estonian golf, we cannot forget about the importance of golf tourism – it is important for us to offer convenient and suitable solutions for players in neighbour countries. In cooperation with Tallink, we hope to bring more and more players from Finland and Sweden to the Estonian courses and competitions in the coming years. A specific example are the various Open tournaments, which hopefully will be increasingly attracted by foreign players, ”said Mölder, elected president of the Estonian Golf Association last autumn.
