Best seniors of 2022
Today at the Estonian Golf & Country Club, the best players were announced for the Senior Open by Büroomaailm:
In the most experienced men’s 70+ age group, Maido Pajo (Rae Golf Club) defended his title with a final score of +26 (85, 85). Second place in the Open and silver medal in the Estonian Championship went to Arvo Närep (Estonian Golf & Country Club) with +33 (86, 91) and third place and bronze medal went to Ülo Polli (Estonian Golf & Country Club) with +33 (84, 93), the result of the second day was decisive. In the women’s 65+ age group, the excitement continued as Anne Petter (Niitvälja Golf Club) and Sirje Eichelmann (Rae Golf Club), finished with the same score of +45 and had to go into the play-off rounds. Anne Petter took the victory and the gold medal in the Estonian Championship after the second extra round, while last year’s Estonian champion Sirje Eichelmann had to settle for second place and the silver medal. Third place and the bronze medal of the Estonian Championship went to Margarita Ross (Estonian Golf & Country Club) with a score of +51 (99, 96). Results
Karl Lell (Niitvälja Golf Club) defended his title in the men’s 65+ age group with a score of +14 (78,80). Second place went to Raivo Velsberg (Reval Golf Club) with a score of +15 (79, 80). In third place, however, was Allan Elerand (Niitvälja Golf Club) with a score of +33 (88, 89). All three are also holders of their respective Estonian Championship medals. Results
The first two places in the women’s 60+ class went to Pirjo Sipronen (Suur-Helsingin Golf) of Finland, who finished with a score of +26 (86, 84) and Liisa Pättiniemi-Fagerström (Master Golf Club), +33 (87, 90). Third place in the Open and the Estonian Championship title went to Ulvi Ingver (Niitvälja Golf Club) with +50 (100, 94). The silver medal in the Estonian Championship went to last year’s champion Monica Pihlak (Estonian Golf & Country Club) with a score of +54 (100, 98) and for the second year in a row Küllike Varik (Niitvälja Golfiklubi) took the bronze, this time with a score of +56 (99, 101). The winner of the men’s 60+ age group is Toomas Tamme (Tartu Golf Club) with a score of +19 (81, 82). Second place went to Vello Kahro (Estonian Golf & Country Club) with a score of +21 (79, 86) and third place this time to Peep Pirale (Estonian Golf & Country Club) with a total of +23 (90, 77). The three of them also won Estonian Championship medals. Results
The best in the women’s 50+ age group was Mimi Skog (Nevas Golf), +19 (79, 84). Second place and the gold medal of the Estonian Championship went to Anneli Esken (Estonian Golf & Country Club) with a score of +27 (85, 86). Third place also went to Finland, taken by Hannele Heikura (Masters Golf Club) with rounds of 88 and 87 (+31). The silver and bronze medals in the Estonian Championship also went to Estonian Golf & Country Club, with Kersti Klaas +32 (93, 83) and Riina Vettus +39 (89, 94) respectively. Results
In the men’s 50+ class, the top three is Jan Larsson (Estonian Golf & Country Club) +15 (84, 75), second place goes to Finland’s Timo Sepponen (Golf Talma) +19 (82, 81) and third place and the gold medal of the Estonian Championship goes to Gunnar Kobin (Estonian Golf & Country Club) with a score of +24 (90, 78). The silver medal of the Estonian Championship goes to Mait Schmidt (Estonian Golf & Country Club) and the bronze to Rasmus Kivila (Niitvälja Golf Club), who both played with a score of +26. Results
