Competition Summary

Estonian Match Play Open is an international championship for all male and female golfers. Estonian Match Play Open Masters will be announced after last the match.

Competition starts with qualification round, after 1st round 32 male players and 16 female players get a placing in the play-off. The logic of the formation of the match play will be described in the competition manual.

All players are guaranteed a minimum of two rounds of golf (one stroke play and one match play). In addition, there will be an opportunity for qualifiers to participate in the Lucky Losers tournament.

Professional and non-professional players are also welcome to the competition.

The competition is recognized as a WAGR event.

 

Competition course

Pärnu Bay Golf Links is a true links course in the best sense of the word – a waterfront strip of land with sandy soil and scarified turf that will test any golfer’s abilities and skills.
The course was designed by Lassi architects Pekka Tilander and Mick McShane, best known as the designers of the world-famous St Andrews Links’ Castle Course and Kingsbarns Golf Links.
Pärnu Bay Golf Links is the first links-type course in the Baltics, which includes wide progression areas, sandy bunkers and multi-level greens for the wise golfer. The par-72 course ranges from 4,500 to 6,200 metres.
